German Language

German is an extremely popular choice for people looking to learn a second language, and for good reason. It is one of the world’s most widely spoken languages, the single most common native language in the European Union, the second most commonly used scientific language and the third most common language online. German is required or recommended in many undergraduate or graduate programs worldwide and Germany financially sponsors over 80,000 exchanges each year.

In the modern, globalized world, having knowledge of the German language may be a desirable trait for many employers, even outside of German-speaking countries. Learning German can help to give you a competitive advantage in higher studies abroad, the business world, the scientific community, translation-based careers and in language teaching. This is why in Oxford International School’s curriculum, we have German Language Courses compulsory from Class 5 to Class 9 and optional from class 9 onwards. Since the certificates of German language proficiency issued by the Goethe-Institute are recognized throughout the world and many of our students are interested in the certification exams of ‘Fit in Deutsch 1’ and ‘Fit in Deutsch 2’ and German Scholarships, we, under our new training wing SKILL, are introducing German Language Exam Preparation Courses for Fit in Deutsch 1 and Fit in Deutsch 2 exams. We believe that our highly qualified teachers, interactive classes and well-planned tests would most definitely make our students expert users of the language in all four modules: reading, writing, listening and speaking and enable them to get their desired scores in the exams and get scholarships in Germany.
